Despite the limitations resulting from the corona crisis, Bertie Hendriks traveled to The Gambia and had a meeting with all the parents of the children sponsored by KW on Sunday 17 January. During the meeting Ida Ndow head of the school, Modou Ceesay her husband and Bertie gave extensive information about the why, what and how of the sponsoring. Afterwards there was ample opportunity to ask questions. It was a pleasant, enlightening meeting in which incorrect stories were refuted, agreements and conditions linked to the sponsorship were explained and many parents expressed their gratitude.
